BrakeQuotes ™ is an online marketplace linking vehicle owners with freelance repair techs, repair shops, and dealerships who provide mobile brake repair services.  Our site allows customers to post their brake repair projects to our website, while providing brake techs access to the project requests, so they can bid on them. Our solution improves the traditional bidding process commonly used by customers when requesting brake repair services.  BrakeQuotes ™ eliminates the time associated with a customer scheduling & completing a brake repair for their vehicle, and saves them money by getting local techs, repair shops, and dealerships to compete with each other.

How It Started

The company was founded by Morgan Jones, in 2009, after witnessing multiple car mechanics be informed they were losing their jobs, while he sat in a waiting room of a car dealership attempting to schedule a brake repair.  "Instead of having the dealership complete the brake repair, I had one of the terminated mechanics fix my car's brakes at my home in the driveway.  Not only was the quality repair completed fast, but I saved hundreds of dollars." 

About the Founder

Morgan has worked in IT technical and management roles for Delphi Automotive, Cap Gemini and Sara Lee Corporation.  He holds a BS from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, a MBA, with a specialization in Entrepreneurship, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed the Information Quality Management Certification Program at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

Morgan is also the founder of CincyMom.com, which was sold to Gannett Corporation and The Cincinnati Enquirer in 2007, BidMyCrib.com and CoachMyGame.com.  He teaches undergraduate public speaking courses at Miami University of Ohio as an adjunct professor (view profile).
